The city that never sleeps. The big apple. Empire city. One place comes to mind when you hear these names: New York, home to over 8 million people with more iconic amenities and landmarks then one can count. Central park, empire state building and the statue of liberty to just name a few. But just as important to the great city is the style of the people living there. Fashion from the city is easily recognizable in any other region in the world. We can narrow the look down to three things, timberland boots, air force ones and a yankee fitted cap. Nothing says New York like a navy blue and white cap to finish off your outfit for the day. The yankee fitted was the inspiration of the Respectfully New Era collaboration.

Respectfully’s first collaboration being with a major company like New Era is a major achievement for the company.  When in the works, the design was a no brainer. The dark navy blue with the white embroidered R and respectfully on the side with a hint of green works perfectly. Looking at our current designs on each piece we release the cap matches with each one. Being a new Yorker there is really nothing that this iconic silhouette does not go with. Pairing the cap with an all white pair of air force ones is the golden look.                

Some may ask, “why the green brim”? Traditionally the brim is either gray or black. “The green brim pops and makes it stand out more when you wear it, ” says CEO and designer Ty. “ It’s the look! From young growing up in Brooklyn all the fly people had that blue and white cap to finish off their fits, and I wanted that”.

From a year in the making, to being on the website, the Respectfully New Era R cap dawns a new day for the brand. It gives our supporters something they can wear daily or just to finish off their outfit. One thing it does do for everyone is remind them to…….
