Your Weekend Plans 3
Every Friday we’ll get your weekend started with some solid plans. These are the things we think you should watch, read or do over the next few days. Enjoy!
THINGS TO DO
Visit a Museum
There is no doubt that a primary role of museums is to engage and educate the community. Museum exhibits inspire interest in an area of study, item, time period, or an idea– but there’s more going on in museums in regard to education than one might think.
Museums themselves have interesting histories to inspire and educate visitors. It becomes nearly impossible to exit a museum without having gained any information or insight during your visit.
THINGS TO WATCH
Jurassic Park
If you have never seen Jurassic Park, you have been missing out on some iconic stuff your entire live. This movie is an undisputed Steven Spielberg masterpiece. It’s a story of man’s hubris gone wrong. A multi-millionaire unveils a theme park where visitors can see dinosaurs up close. Spielberg’s handle on tone and tension here is masterful, as the film opens by previewing the terror to come before settling the audience into the comfort and wonder of Jurassic Park.
Then all hell breaks loose. It’s one of those great films that’s not only perfect, it’s highly rewatchable.
